I've been a loyal customer of MSU since they first opened on Market Street. The new spot on Free Street is awesome! The staff is great! Helpful, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions - even the most technical. The store is very well organized and laid out. Tons of awesome brands and products. I can't say enough good things about Charlie, Christina, and the rest of the crew. Great local surf shop. Took lessons with some friends and had a blast. Knowledgeable and took the time to make sure we all enjoyed the lesson even though we had different skill levels. Returned to find out they have some of my favorite brands. I'll be back!!
Best surf shop in Maine, hands down. Something for everyone, people who are new to surfing or life long surfers looking for the right handmade board. Custom shaped boards made right in Maine. Charlie only supports the best brands and it shows in his shop. Great selection of clothes and accessories too.
Great shop, with a great new location. Owner Charlie is a great guy that is happy to help with any needs you may have. Boards in the shop are beautifully crafted in the U.S. built to last, along with all the accessories you may need plus great apparel. Lot of local knowledge here on what types of boards to buy/ride for the conditions around NE.
One of my favorite shops in/near the Old Port. I love to pop in and see what new threads they're offering, but also to check out new and old surf videos from across the world. Staff has always been friendly and motivated to help. You guys are rad!
