Amazing tour/hands on experience. Staff is amazing, knowledgeable and fun. We spotted seals caught lobster, baited traps and put them back in the water. They were very knowledgeable on our surroundings and it's history. I would strongly suggest this to anyone who wants to enjoy this type of cruise. Awesome job guys! From the Canadians.
My wife and two children just visited Lucky Catch. We had a great time. The tour was very informative and hands on. We got some great photos, saw a seal or two, and caught a few lobsters. We opted not to buy any lobsters due to time constraints, but it was a good deal. $6 to buy the lobsters and $12 have it cooked next door w/sides. They are very good at staying on schedule so the 2 hour parking on the street is ample (big money saver).
Me and my friends had an excellent time on the lobster tour - we pulled up traps, loaded bait, and the captain shared so much great lobster knowledge. The gal who also accompanied us was so nice and knowledgeable and answered my lobster questions and was super friendly. Lots of great photo ops and we bought a photo at the end that was taken by their photographer - which was very reasonably priced and added to the fun memories!
From start to finish this was such a great experience. The guides and captain were all excellent - very friendly. We were able to haul and bait the traps, measure and band the lobsters ourselves and enjoy the local area. We bought a couple of the lobsters we caught and took them next door for a delicious and fresh lunch. Highly recommended!
We did this excursion with our 7 and 8 year old daughters. We all loved it! The staff was super friendly and we got to participate in everything! A great thing to do in Portland!
