Coffee was tasty but unexpected. I've had macchiato in parts of Europe and it was served in a tall glass with a high milk to espresso ratio. This one was completely different - very small milk ratio. Upon further research, I think that there are different styles of this drink. Maybe it's an American version?
Great crepes, ok macaroons
Stopped for a snack and had the ham crepe. Been to France and I have to stay it was one of the best crepes I have ever had. The service was top notch as well!!
This is an authentic french pastries place, the only one (as far as I can tell) in Portland. The assortment of pastries is not huge, but that they have is absolutely divine! We go there because it is a coffee shop with pastries, but they also serve lunch. Having a real espresso machine allows them to make delicious espresso.
Food was average at best, very slow and came out cold. Sat at the bar, recommend a foot rest and purse hooks.
Carefully adjusted prices keep the clientele at a certain level, which we absolutely like :) - Good job!
It's fun to have a French style cafe in Portland. We went with the crepes and macarons - yummy. I would suggest that the macarons be served closer to room temperature - they were chilled.
