A great shopping experience. Products and brands I was not familiar with but I tried a new virgin olive oil marketed by Trader Joe's. It turned out to be delicious. I will be returning again. Just going for the experience was worth it.
Trader Joe's is an excellent grocery store. The employees are friendly, knowledgable and attentive to the needs of their customers. The food is sold under their trademark name, no commercial brands. Their food is good as comparable if not better than name brand foods and is well priced and without gimmicks. My only complaint is that the parking at the Marginal Way store is an absolute nightmare and keeps the experience of shopping at Trader Joe's a five star experience.

Super Super duper huge store! Lots of aisle space. Lots of local Maine craft beers from around the STATE. Nice staff and a great parking lot to chill in and enjoy the portland views. Right near a dog park also for a quick walk before heading out on the road.
Great atmosphere...deli food and coffee to enjoy during your visit (if only there was some "gizmo" to hold it in the cart)..very upbeat atmosphere amongst staff/customers...fun to be there!
Lots of great, not too expensive options. One of my favorite places to shop when I have the time. Only issue is it can be difficult to find a parking spot, especially during peak days and times.
