This is our favorite Vietnamese joint in Maine so far. The pho is outstanding. Very rich and flavorful broth. Lots of creative specials. The ambience is just what you want family style with lots of Vietnamese people eating there. Beware of Vietnamese restaurant full of white people. I mean there are always white people here, we are in Maine duh. What I mean is beware of an ethnic restaurant full of only white people.
Great hole in the wall place! Quiet atmosphere, clean, staff was VERY nice. Food was awesome! Still new to this type of food/restaurant so I can't really compare but I will definitely be going back. Wish it was in a better neighborhood but then it may lose its identity and become of those overpriced, no seating for 45min, foodie type of places that line Congress st. This place is definitely worth having to lock your car door :D
Huongs is our favorite family restaurant for quick, fresh, affordable meals. The staff is super-friendly and accommodating of requests and the ingredients are always crisp and tasty. The place itself is very casual with easy parking and simple decor. It is easily my favorite Asian place in Portland.
Most authentic Pho in town, I love this place! Prices are incredible ($12.99 Lobster pho special!?!) and the food is always delicious, fast, and filling. Great spot for a mid-week quick and casual dinner, or a slow Saturday afternoon pick me up on a cold day. Definitely worth the trip!
Food was wonderful. Waitress spent 5 minutes explaining the different offerings as we had not eaten Vietnamese food before. Spice levels are on the low side. What they call a 3 (middle) I would call a 1. Try them out if you are in the area. Oh, price was very good. Try the egg rolls you will not be disappointed.
