We ended up here for some seafood when in town for a wedding and really glad we did.

Overpriced tourist trap.

10/23/17 I had takeout from here. The food was very good. The bar tender was very friendly and serviceable. All the food I saw served looked great!

Environment was nice. Waitress not so attentive, never mentioned specials.

Pros: nice view, friendly server

The wait for the patio was not extensive, but the hostess did quote us a slightly shorter time than we ended up waiting (~10 mins) which wasn't a big deal to me, but did seem to upset some of the other patrons who showed up around the same time as us.

Food looked good, a little bit of sand in clams and scallops. Bits of shell in lobster stuffed haddock.

Since it was on the less expensive side, I anticipated adequate food, but was pleasantly surprised that it was quite good. The lobster roll was tender and not chewy and the steamers were a good size for the price.

Had twin lobster plate. They charge $5 to share. I expected a whole ear of corn and 2 rolls but only got 1 roll and half an ear. Not used to eating soft shell lobster. Easy to open but the lobster "jelly" and green guts are very unappetizing. But lobster is fresh. Wish we had just eaten crab cakes or a lobster roll.

After walking around for a bit and perusing some of the menus, we wanted to eat somewhere a bit closer to the water and The Porthole fit the bill for both price and seating area.

Everything was great until 3 of 4 us got sick a few hours later.

If you're looking for quick, decently priced lunch on the water, while all the surrounding restaurants are on 45 minute waits, I suggest popping over to The Porthole. You won't be disappointed.

Cons: The lobster on the lobster roll was chewy and not fresh (fresh lobster should be tender and sweet). Fish tacos were loaded with cabbage and tomatoes with an anemic helping of fish and also were swimming in purple liquid dressing from the cabbage.
