I'm so impressed with this place! I showed up to Allspeed with my husband and two kids on a Saturday only to find they were having a huge bike swap event. I had never been here before and thought I'd give them a try since I was not happy with the bike shop I had been going to. The place was so busy I figured there was no way they would have time for us.
They changed a disc rotor that I lacked the tool to do. Super helpful and nice guys. Would highly recommend.
After a brief chat with the lady at the door, I was assured they were open for business and well organized to help those not part of the bike swap.
I paid $70 for the standard tune-up because I was moving and didn't have my tools out. I'm pretty sure they just ran a paper towel over some of it and sent it back out. The shifting hadn't been touched, my wheels had not been trued, my brakes were still slack, and the chain was less than clean. I don't know what I paid for. I bought my last bike here and didn't really enjoy the experience but thought I would give them another chance. I won't be going back after this. Cyclemania and Gorham Bike and Ski were friendlier, more helpful, and have certainly never skimped me on a tune up before.
These folks are amazing and this is my new bike shop!
But here's what impressed me the most:
When I came to pick the bikes up, my young son in-tow, I quickly asked about my bike fit. I was not told it will be another $250 and I needed to make an appointment. Nope. I got to chat with 'K' who took the time to look at me in the saddle, measure and make adjustments. He was professional, knowledgeable, and so patient! I walked out of AllSpeed knowing so much more and totally pumped for my next ride!
They checked both bikes out and made recommendations to best fix the problems we were having. Even with parts on order, both bikes were still ready to go in a couple days.
Edit: I have been contacted by the owners and offered compensation. This alone warrants a change in rating. I look forward to seeing their response in service.
These guys are great. Brought in a new set of skis and bindings to be mounted. They were able to expedite so I could get on the mountain sooner. Very appreciative.
Thank you Allspeed for the bike rental so I could ride in the Ride for Autism. The bike was great.
