Pierre's is terrific... I've had a number of great experiences. For one, I bought a used MacBook Pro from Pierre over a year ago. The price was very fair, the computer was in like-new condition, and has performed flawlessly under heavy daily use. Pierre's also helped me revive a much-beloved but long-defunct iPod, and has lent me tools in the past... he has things in inventory that no one else has, and he is ready to help whenever he can. It is great to have him as a resource right in the heart of the Old Port.

In regards to their response - I had my camera with me - they looked at the battery - and still sold me this piece of junk. It fit the battery fine it just didn't work.. I felt like I got the bums rush when I was in the store, like all they wanted to do was make the sale and get me out of the store. . . terrible service and now (their response) saying that they remember the sale four years later… shows what kind of character they have.

Pierre's has been in business for decades & that doesn't happen unless you're doing things right. I have always had a great experience with the owner, Joe, and completely trust his experience with computer repair! He goes beyond and above what any of the chain stores and more often than not gives me a much better price than chain stores! I don't understand the 1 star review. The customer must have been in a hurry and the product they needed was all Joe had in stock. Yes, smaller stores can sometimes have higher prices but like any local convenience store you pay for the convenience. I highly recommend Pierre's of Exchange Street for all your computer and camera needs.
Needed a charger for my Nikon D-70 ---- He sold me a piece of cheap import garbage for $69.95 that did not work. Unfortunately I was cruising and couldn't return it. B&H sells the Nikon original for $42 --- the guy is a rip off. . . and I sure missed a lot of nice shots while sailing in Maine --
