This was a lie. My wife called the office and the owner was very rude to her. He said they do not reimburse for ANY damage - that is their policy.
I opened the phone book and decided to call Tiny Tim's. Tim, the owner, gave me expert advice and spent a long time on the phone helping me. He suggested a U-Pack company that, in the long run, saved us thousands of dollars.
If you need a mover that goes beyond the call of duty, Tiny Tim's is your mover.
To top it off, Tim called me to check and be sure all was well when we unloaded.
First of all, what a terrible policy. Second, this policy was not told to us in any way or form prior to the move. We obviously would have gone elsewhere had we known. AVOID TINY TIM's.
When the truck was unloaded 3000+ miles away, nothing had shifted or moved. Even the U-Pack company complimented on the way it had been packed.
I recently flew to Portland to move my ill sister from Portland to Seattle. In advance, I had set up the move with a well-known company. Unfortunately, when I got to Maine, they dropped the ball and I found myself with no movers.
DO NOT HIRE Tiny Tim's for anything. Horrible experience. The movers arrived late and tried to charge us for an extra hour of time. They broke one of our floor lamps . The mover told us to call the office and that they would reimburse us.

Tiny Tim's really bailed me out when another mover backed out with only a week before the move. A complex move that involved getting things off one of the Casco Bay Islands, and moving a solid distance onto the mainland, Tim helped us to come up with a good plan that worked for everyone. Be warned that Tim's a talker on the phone, but he's trying to figure out what works for you. They really were great, and I'd certainly call them again.
I used Tiny Tim's to pack the U-Pack truck. They did such an excellent job of packing it high and tight that we saved even more money. The best thing was that the movers were very caring. It was a stressful time and they were reassuring and patient. When I saw the bill I was very pleased how reasonable his rates were.
