After 7 years without owning a car, Enterprise continues to be a great option. The $9.99 day weekend special from Labor Day to Memorial Day is such a deal and the people that work in the company personalize the rental process every time. They make it easy!
The staff at this location is top notch. We were picked up promptly when arriving at the bus station from the airport. We were also upgraded to a slightly bigger sedan, however, I was disappointed to find out the car they upgraded me to did not have cruise control. In the end, Regan did an outstanding job of helping us through the car return process, and even dropped us off downtown afterwards. This is a great place to rent from!

Exceptional service from the initial phone reservation, to the pick-up at the hotel, the new compact car (3000 original miles) I rented, and the ease of return + plus ride to a restaurant. Excellent staff attention to detail and best price for my 2 week rental.
Portland ME office has friendly staff who are quick to help you get your vehicle and get on the road. I dropped the car off at the Bangor Hammond Street location which was very difficult to find as they lack decent signage. I arrived 10 minutes after the office closed but they opened up and checked the car in so I could be on my way.
