The hotel was clean and up to date as well as the room we stayed in was impressive as it had a separate living area and bedroom area which made it even more enjoyable.
Stayed for more than a week in June. Turn down service was excellent and the rooms were well maintained. They have a nice bar and freshly prepared food in the main lobby area. It is close to the airport but quiet, although access is a little hidden. It is a very short drive from many landmarks and great dining places. If you are there, look up the Maine Military Museum. You would never see it otherwise. The museum was started and is operated by one man, who can walk you through the displays of memorabilia from the Civil War to present. You would never otherwise believe the items they have could possibly be outside the Smithsonian.
After shopping all day Saturday, we went back to the hotel to take advantage of the free social with drinks and had the best time ever! Kathy was amazing as she took great care of us and made sure we were happy and we were! The front staff was amazing as well.
I would recommend this hotel over and over and I would recommend anyone staying here to stop in at the bar/dining area to see if Chris is working and talk with him. He is super knowledgeable about the area but more importantly he is an incredibly nice human being. We stayed at this hotel on a Monday and than checked out and came back on wed, he remembered our name, he remembered that my husband was here on business and he remembered what he had recommended for us to do. He has incredible customer service skills and that is a rare find now days. It was a pleasure meeting him. The hotel is nice as and the rest of the staff was sweet also. We just had more interaction with Chris.
We loved the suite with one king and two queen beds. Surprised to find two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Also a living room/kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, and sink with a pull out sofa bed. Yes, three rooms, each with privacy. Great evening snacks included in the lobby. An awesome free breakfast! First time at Embassy Suites, but not the last.
The continental breakfast is by far one of the best I have ever encountered. To the hot breakfasts right down to the awesome omelette maker with the excellent personality to go with it...always smiling!
Myself and my 3 mommy friends went for a weekend away from Nova Scotia, Canada and decided to stay at the Embassy Suites, Portland Maine. We were greeted with nothing but courteous smiling employees who went out of their way to make our stay the best possible.
The pool, hot tub and sauna were very clean and well kept.
Very comfortable accommodation. Rooms and hotel felt new and clean. Bar and lobby was quite a social scene. Breakfast was great
Amazing!!!
I cannot say enough great things about this hotel and their staff. Made our stay so enjoyable we want to go again!!!
